In Loving Memory of Granddaddy

I am sad to say that my great granddaddy passed away on Father’s Day (June 16, 2013). He met the Ultimate Father on this day of celebrating fathers’. Grandmother (his wife) passed several years ago, so he is also joining her in Heaven. This post is in honor of him and the fun times I have had with him.

Here are some pictures of Granddaddy when Gavin was born last year.

He was so much fun and loved every one of his eight great-grandchildren as well his grandchildren and his children.

Every time one of us great-grandchildren went down to Granddaddy’s house, we always got a big bag of candy or fed up with cookies. I guess he and Grandmother thought our parents didn’t feed us enough! Not once have we ever come back empty-handed.

Also, he made sure we received a birthday card that always contained $20 in it, no matter how old we were turning. I still have every one of my 14 cards from Grandmother and Granddaddy and will treasure them from now on.

His house was always like a museum, for it had pictures from throughout his time period all over the house. But the most pictures he had were of either his grandchildren or his wife, I haven’t decided which was more plentiful!

We will all miss Granddaddy, but he is praising the Father in Heaven where he will be in no more pain, ever again.

Love you Granddaddy.
