Growing up, goody-two-shoes Kirra Jacobs and troublemaker Reef McKenna were always at odds. Now paired together on Yancey’s search-and-rescue canine unit, they begin to put aside old arguments as they come to see each other in a different light. Then a call comes in from the Iditarod that will push them to their limits.
Kirra’s uncle, a musher in the race, has disappeared. Kirra and Reef quickly track the man, but what they discover is harrowing. Frank’s daughter has been kidnapped. In order to save her, the man must use his knowledge as a mechanical engineer to do the kidnapper’s bidding or she will die. Kirra and Reef, along with the entire McKenna family, are thrown into a race to stop a shadowy villain who is not only threatening a girl’s life, but appears willing to unleash one of the largest disasters Alaska has ever seen.
I have to admit that this review is way late! My life just recently got extremely hectic and I haven’t had much time for reading so I am sorry to say that I am several book reviews behind.
But nevertheless, I am pleased to finally be writing the review for Sabotaged. What a gripping story! This book hooked me from page one and I honestly could not put it down for even a few minutes! The suspense in this book is taken to a whole new level as you read through the breathtaking scenes. One of my favorite authors is Jack London with his famous tales set in Alaska and his using the sled dogs as main characters; and I feel that even he would have been pleased with this book! The writing is gorgeous and unique and the characters were phenomenal. This is most definitely a series worth buying and I will probably jump the next time I see one of Dani Pettrey’s books avaliable for review! 5 out of 5 stars!
